Here are some simple reasons to choose NeonZ Training Services by Martin Zapata:
A PERSONAL
APPROACH TO EACH TRAINING TOPIC
We are all in this journey together. Working, learning, earning,
living. Each topic that I teach is approached with care and precision
to figure out how to present technical information in a way that
normal people can understand. With software changing so rapidly
nowadays it makes it very difficult to master anything. But we
try
anyway. I treat training sessions as a "come-along-side-of-you"
situation where a partnership can occur to produce an open heart
and mind that is ready to learn. The fact that certain things may
be second nature for me and make no sense to you does not give me
any right to look down upon you or treat you as inferior in any
way. I'm sure most of us have been in the training sessions where
you hear "What do you mean? You don't know how to use a mouse?"
in a not so pleasant voice. This does not produce an atmosphere
full of adventure for learning. "Superiority complexes" do
a lot of harm. This is one reason I strive to conduct my training
sessions in a fair and friendly way.
SPECIALIZED
FOCUS BASED ON EACH LEARNING GROUP
I have found that the best way to help focus the energy needed for
learning is to conduct training sessions with specific people who
have a specific need in mind. Though requiring a little more time,
these learning groups get specialized training based on where they
currently are in the knowledge of whatever topic I am instructing
on. The biggest struggle I've encountered was having one training
session for a topic in which the students were made up of advanced
and novice learners. Time devoted to the novice learners often led
to boredom for the advanced learners. Time devoted to the advanced
learners often led to major confusion for the novice learnings.
If the training is too broad in scope then the overall effectiveness
is hindered. Therefore I strive to create learning groups to focus
on the needs of the individual.
VALUE-ADDED
HUMOR
*snore* *snore* We've all been there. Training sessions that allow
you to count the holes in the ceiling tiles. I think I counted 240
in one room once. And I used long math, counting by single digits. Or
the training sessions where you spend more time reading the inside
of your eyelids than the training manuals in front of you. I have
been told by friends and collegues that I have a good witty sense
of humor. I try to apply that to every training session. Occassionally
those roll-your-eyes bad puns make their entrance, too. Ha! Well,
I never liked boring lecture series with a monotone voice. I use
humor to highlight certain features of the training topics, to enliven
classroom morale, and to generate lasting impressions that each
student can remember well into their 70's. Of course, I don't have
any scientifc data yet supporting the lasting impressions into your
70's, but I hope you get my point.
PREVIOUS
TRAINING EXPERIENCE WITH NON-PROFITS AND THE CITY OF LOS
ANGELES
I've spent a lot of time developing and teaching a plethora of academic
classes for both non-profit organizations and city programs. I give
credit to BreakAway Technologies in Los Angeles for providing me
the opportunity to expand my knowledge in a lot of areas and practice
what I preach in regards to empowering others to increase their
skills, thus increasing their success. Indeed this was one of the
main goals of BreakAway. I've also been given the opportunity to
teach the 3D portion of an animation class at Biola University in
La Mirada, CA. Of course, animation is my passion and I truly enjoy
teaching others the technical and creative side of computer animation.
Then there's all the small, informal training sessions that occur
at a moments notice when someone needs to know how something works.
Little tips here and there go a long way in improving the efficiency
of others.
